Osweiler - What Happened

Oz plays vs SD, is taken out - never a word about an injury. Then this week he can hardly walk. Any idea what happened?

Slipped on an icy driveway?

It was during game. I remember saying out loud..." oh great, now he's limping too" in reference to him hurting arm few plays earlier.

I'm sorta inbetween on if Osweiler was pulled or injured. I know he got hurt during the game but that wasn't revealed until the MRI.... I don't know if it was a case of I am hurt, I can't finish. Or if it was a case of lets try Peyton again since we are behind now and look now Osweilers knee is worse then we thought when he hurt it during the game.

At this rate doesn't matter I guess.

It does seem like the Official "Going with Manning" explanation is cover for the Legend so he didn't suffer the indignity of subbing for the injury Osweiler.

I think it might be a little of this and little of that Mingo .... I think The injury just was a point were kubiak felt like he seen this with the KC and Manning earlier in the year and did not want to hold on to long with a health QB sitting on the Bench

I seen a damn fine player in Cold weather .. that alone makes him sooooooooo worth resigning ..

I think Osweiler had a great "1st year" for a quarterback. His 3TD game in Pittsburgh should have been enough to win.

I think we will be in good hands with him. On top of that, the rest of the AFC West isn't as afraid of him yet as I think they should be.

To be clear - I am not downplaying Oz - I'm saying - Oz got banged up enough to affect his ability to make plays and Kubiak took him out. I am further saying - instead of hanging on Manning the label that he was replacing the injured starter - the Broncos choose to spare Manning the indignity.

What's cool is there seems to be a significant possibility that Manning will return to form. I remember I was concerned about Steve Atwater going into the Packer Super Bowl as a guy whose talent had slipped - but during the Super Bowl - Steve Atwater had a throw back game - It would be great to see Peyton Manning do the same thing. I like fairy tale endings.
