Osweiler Benched!

Just saw this blurb on NFL.com:

Texans bench Brock Osweiler after two interceptions

You know, with the Broncos at 8-5 and the toughest remaining slate in the league, an 8-8 finish is still a distinct possibility. But one thing I will say is Trevor Siemian is not the reason this team won't reach the playoffs. The narrative on the Broncos coming into this season was they made a huge mistake letting Osweiler walk, but a look at Siemian's numbers vs Osweiler's tells a far different story. I'm glad we're not into Oz for however many millions a year it would have taken to keep him here. Even if this year ends in missing the playoffs, I think the team is well positioned to reload and compete in the future and letting Oz go is a big part of that.

Ya never know what a player will be like under a different team/scheme, but judging off Osweiler's performance this year we sure look like we dodged a bullet.

Oh yeah and let's keep in mind what Osweiler did do for us last year.

If it wasn't for him I still don't think we would have won the SB last year. He came in and won the games we needed to get home field and keep things together.

Yeah, I tend to agree.

I don't really blame Brock. It is his life, if that is what he thought was better for him who are we to judge? We don't walk in his shoes.

I don't begrudge the man his choice, but I'm not going to shy away from pointing out his failures. Brock probably doesn't care. How much of that $72 million was guaranteed? Texans go on to win that game and pull to 8-6. Titans beat the Chiefs on a long FG and are also 8-6. That AFC South race is definitely better this year than last.

He would have been just fine in Denver but he chose a new team with more money. Hope he is happy with his money at least. Peace.
