Chip wasn't going anywhere until he knew that there would be an 18 month "ban" from him coaching come from the Lyles BS. And for one, I don't want chip back. That boat has sailed. That was a bit different than the drunk coach up and leaving.
So now James was a drunk? No limit to the fabrications of your fan base is there? James was an ardent Christian his entire life. Spent much of his retirement on missions in poor countries helping communities improve their lives. Think Chip will have any such mission after football? Yeah, me either.

I don't know, the pressure seems more on the ducks to me. UW's already performed beyond most fans' expectations. All that's left for Oregon this year is continuing the streak... what else do you have to feel like you've salvaged the year? Beating OSU? Lol! (No offense wallace).
There are still 6 games left and a possible bowl. Anything can happen so for all we know Oregon finishes 10-3. Unlikely but still possible.

All hate week aside, if Oregon loses this game do you really see any realistic chances they win out after that facing ASU, Cal, Stanford, USC, and O state? So let's say you win a close one this week. Do you still hold high hopes they run that gauntlet? Even in their best years that's a seriously tough stretch of football. This year? I can't see them winning two of the next 4, really not 3.

Like I said unlikely but still possible. Any teams can have a down game. I feel like every game from here has potential to be close. Like the Bellotti/Harrington days where like 9 games were decided by about 10 points. its just that Oregon came out on top more back then.

Keep in mind Stanford is completely green in the secondary aside from Harris, so a competent QB should be able to make some plays against them. I still like Stanford's chances of winning the north, but anything can happen this season.

Then again (Tongue firmly in cheek) let the hate flow.

It's college ball. Green doesn't mean teams should be able to take advantage. It only means they are young and more likely to be inconsistent and make mistakes. Young kids are fully capable of being tough and winning games for you, but then often come out the following week and leave you scratching your heads.

That's why I'm not entirely confident in this coming game. Our young QB hasn't been the game winner in any game this year, but sure has been involved in losing at least the Cal game. UW had the chance to take an early lead and put their foots down on USC's throats last week and in 3 straight drives inside the 35 they came away with zero points. You can't miss those opportunities against talented teams.

Maybe that young line plays well and Gaskin goes off for 170y and allows Browning to get some quality throws down field and they get a W. Or maybe they make more mistakes and show how young they are. No one will find out until Saturday night. Gotta love college football for that kind of stuff.

Ducks are dropping 2 more this year. At least. Probably Washington and Stanford who sport the top defenses in the PAC. Cal will drop a ton of points on them so that could be 3 Ls.

7-5 or 6-6 season. Their defense stinks and its musical chairs at QB.

Possible but for all we know Adams comes back from his injurty and is the real deal. the offense is still on par with what they have done over the years. Freeman is running well. you just never know.

Freeman is the difference maker. He's a workhorse and any run D would have to play out of their minds to stop him. The best you can do is just keep his yds honest and make those tackles. If the huskies lose on sunday, one of the primary factors will be allowing Freeman to bust open for multiple big plays by missed tackles.

I'd say the key to this entire game for the Huskies will be if they contain Freeman or not. Adams could play out of his mind, but don't think it happens with that finger.

I am a fan of neither team.

With that said, I confess that I hope Washington lays a straight ass-kicking on the Ducks.

That is all. Carry on.

He's been sitting for a while. I'd be shocked if VA doesn't play. A threat in the passing game will open up the running lanes that much more.
