Game Thread: OREGON DUCKS vs cal 9/30 10:30 PM EST FS1

YES THAT IS RIGHT I AM MAKING THE GAME THREAD FOR THIS WEEK AS ITS BAD LUCK WHEN OTHERS MAKE THIS THING.

What do we got? Well stay up late Saturday night to watch the Oregon Ducks host the Cal Golden Bears. The Bears bring in first year head coach Wilcox to take on first year head coach Willie Taggart. The connections between CAL and Oregon is a lot. Former Duck coaches are on this CAL team. This will be a fun game! Ducks looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season, where they came up inches short of winning, and CAL is coming off their first loss of the season against a hard fought battle vs USC.

Game Summary: Ducks strike early and maintain a steady 7-14 lead throughout the first half. We go into halftime with CAL putting up a fight but just out of reach of the Ducks. We get into the second half and late 3rd quarter the Ducks start causing turnovers, sacks, and their offense starts rolling. By the 4th quarter those on the East coast can go to bed knowing the results they'll see on Sunday morning.

Careful OD, looks like Cal figured out a bit of defense when Wilcox came along. Oregon clearly has yet to figure that part out.

Cal's young QB will probably struggle in his first trip to Autzen as the starter.

He had his worst outing of the year last week where he threw 4 ints and finished with just 44% of his passes in completions. Still had over 300 yards though and we all know the ducks secondary is nothing close to USC's right now.

I think the ducks win this game, but I fully expect the Bears to cover the 13 points. I mean those 2nd quarter defensive adjustments and all.
