Players always casually hand slap before games. The Magic/Isiah kiss was a huge deal because it was unheard of. George and Lebron hand slapping during the game was weak. This current generation seems too nice. You just don't that, especially during a conference finals game. You should want to be killing your opponent at all times.

He criticized by everyone, that is one of the reasons he was not liked.

That has absolutely nothing to do with this other than the fact that you know I'm a fan of Magic. The ritual of acknowledging your opponent prior to tipoff has nothing to do with fucking CONGRATULATING an opponent as the clock ticks during the East Conf. Finals for scoring against you.

If that's what this sport is coming to (and it is) then I'll be joining my old Dad who can't stomach this new brand of professional basketball.

I think this is crap. I hate it when guys help each other up during football games. Good sportsmanship is for when the game is over. When the game is being played your job is to give it everything you've got to win. Help your teamates up, not your opponents. High five your teamates when they do something positive for the team, not your opponents.

In the NHL they beat the crap out of each other in a 7 game series. When it's over they shake hands & display great sportsmanship. The other major pro leagues could learn a thing or two from the NHL.
