I get 5-1 being hard in the NFCN, so what if they go 4-2 or even 3-3 though?

That roster is plenty good enough to deal with the division and 1st place teams.

Yeah, I get that. I just cringe at that though when the talent level didn't actually get worse. Oh noes, the Vikings went 11-5~

Tennessee should be contending for last place in the division if Andrew Luck is back. They have the LEAST upside as well.

i don't get the take that the North divisions are so tough. their both 'ok' but they are not on the level of the NFC South. Last time I checked, the Bears, Bengals, and Browns are in North divisions and it's not like the Packers, Lions, and Ravens are great. They're all 'meh' teams.

Yes, but not sure what it really means. Speaking on the Steelers...I think it's entirely possible for them to go 11-5 or even 10-6 and be a better team than LY's 13-3 team. The schedule is that much harder.

Even if they fix their O, there's the factors everyone else improves. Jacksonville should regress but defense is still too good. The titans at their best on O is still not in the zipcode of a healthy texans and colts.

It's not just a regression in division record. Factor in Minnesota after five weeks could be 2-3 with losses to GB, LA, and Philadelphia.

Only the saints when they are good are tough, though not as of recently. Atlanta, Carolina, and TB often lose to other good teams and have for years if they are not playing for HFA.

Getting 13+ wins in back to back seasons is rare so it's easy to predict some falloff from the teams that won 13 wins last year.

Tough to disagree with the list as 3 teams are going to have new coaching staffs and a Cam lead Carolina is historically a Yo-Yo in terms of records year to year.

Exactly. It's almost a sure thing that the Eagles, Pitt and Vikings will all decline this year from a record perspective.

None of those teams are likely to win 13 or more games. But if they win 12 games you really don't get to pat yourself on the back and say you were right that they "regressed"
