Ha don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the Wild pile on another top EC team at home but I also would love to see a great hockey game. If both teams are playing at their best it could be a great early season measuring stick rather than either team catching the other on an off night.

Both teams are going to be well rested not having played since Saturday so everything is square on that front.

MAF & Kuemper both lead the league in shutouts with 3 a piece. I could see a good goaltending matchup in this one.

Welp. Without a doubt the Wild's worst game of the year. Took til the 3rd to get a little activity going.


Sucky thing is it's not like we caught the Pens on a hot night, they didn't play very well themselves.

Last year, Mike Yeo was on watch as the Wild were in a tailspin heading into the game with the Sabres. His job was officially in jeopardy. We went on to beat them, and then the Washington Capitals - SAVING Yeo's job, and propelling them on a run that would last until the 2nd round of the playoffs.


This year, we face the same slump busting Sabres, yet Yeo's job is not officially in jeopardy as of yet. If the Wild lose this one, let the Yeo watch begin. We've slipped from 2nd in the Conference to 10th and can't afford to lose anymore ground (4 points out of 8th, but only 1 point ahead of 14th place Colorado) if they are serious about building off of last year's exhilerating run.

Yes, they've had one of the more difficult schedules to date, but it's time to stop making excuses and get the damn puck in the net. Especially on PP.

Nice win Wild fans, but it appears I might have overestimated Darcy Kuemper. I still think he will do well but he might not be ready yet.

Back to back wins now. Finally got a road win today which was huge. 3-6 on the road is bad though.

Team needs to get healthy first and foremost but also they have to start burying opportunities. I have never seen a team get so many scoring chances to start a year and not capitalize. The PP is still embarrassing, like idk what to say on that anymore.

Now we got to build on this little streak. After tomorrows game we head back on the road for 3 more so the road woes need to be solved. We got a lot of good teams coming up.

Sucks to give the Jets a point, but a win is a win so that is the important part. This team is still very jekyl and hyde. At home they are cup contenders. On the road, they are outside looking in for the playoffs. Sadly, in order to have any chance at some home ice advantage this team has to pick up road wins. 3 more upcoming.

Great to have Parise and Scandella back(nice winner). We need to get healthy and stay healthy for a bit to get some rhythm. Really need Vanek to start scoring some goals(fanned on open goal) and sadly IDK if the PP is going to ever figure it out, its just not good. The penalty kill though .

Have to start winning these road games now. And also against the East..we are 3-5 vs the East which is in most peoples opinions the weaker conference.

Bright side is we are 7-2 vs the West so we have attained 14/18 possible points in conference games and allowed only 6(2 Ot wins). That is pretty damn good.

Harding placed on waivers. Kinda bummed on a personal level. My mom has MS, so it struck me on a personal level. It's different for everyone that has it. I hope he's able to live a fulfilling life and is able to still make a career out of hockey.

Also, while it is unlikely at this point that Harding plays again for the Wild(or even at all) he was waived because he simply was going to be ready in the allowed time.

Since no other team will claim him, he could still be brought back. It just likely will not happen.

Thanks guys. She was diagnosed 20 years ago and is 67 almost 68 now. It was a struggle for her (and us) early on, but her lesions stopped progressing around 4 years ago. She still gets the periodical "shocks," but hopefully with this plateau, they don't start growing/spreading again.

If he clears waivers, they can stash him in Iowa. They still owe him 1.75 or so. That would give him time to finish rehab and see how he responds to regular play.

Biggest win of the year right there. Out played for most of the night but took advantage of some great opportunities and won. Even though my least favorite player Prosser and his stupid penalty tried to ruin things. Man, he's the one player I can't stand on this team.

Awesome road win though. Keumps played amazing. Great to start off a little road trip with a W and after having so many games already where we generate so many chances but don't score...it was awesome to be on the other end of it.

Hopefully we keep rolling as we head down to play a couple in Florida!!! Got get at least 1 but both would be sweeeeeeeeeet!!!

Good game for the Wild. Yes they got outplayed for much of the game but Kuemper got them thru it. Also their power play has been scoring goals as of late. Most importantly they got a much needed road win. Pretty good night for the Wild & their fans.
