With the defense the Isles have Quick would have a very hard time going .500.

Well they get five or six games to evaluate him and make up their mind but from what I've heard he really should stay with the teams. It makes no sense to send him back to the Juniors. Other than to save one year on the entry contract.

He's listed on the team but don't forget they get 5 or 6 games to evaluate him this year then he can be sent back to the juniors. I think he will stick with the Sabres from everything I've heard.

Good point. I thought of that after I posted. I think he's good enough to stay. Whether or not he does may depend on how well the Sabres do out of the gate as much as how well he does. Even in a short season it's hard to tell only a 5 games in. But if the Sabres aren't thinking this is their year they may decide to send him back to save a year on his contract. If the Sabres outlast the Remparts in the playoffs (Q playoffs start way earlier and move much faster) then they can always bring him back then.

Yup. Methot's big and he can move. That's enough to get the coveted spot beside Karlsson. I don't know much about Methot other than he's big and will throw his weight around. Karlsson got Kuba a fat contract; I expect Methot will look just fine on a top pairing with EK.

Lehner might be the goalie who would give the Sens the best chance right now but he's the only one who wouldn't have to go through waivers. As of right now apparently though they are gonna carry 3 tenders. I don't expect that to last and I think it'll be Lehner down to Bingo to carry the load before making the big club full-time next year.
