I don't think consistency is a problem when it comes to Serena considering the fact that the word consistency is anathema to women tennis. Hell, Serena is much older than Sharapova, how consistent is Sharapova, or even any of the younger ones including Brouchard, Wozniacki, Kvitova Halep Radwanska? It is painful to try and elicit any consistency from any of them.

ALL the commentators were DISAPPOINTED. I was disappointed that the commentators were clearly rooting for Halep and trying to paint Serena in a negative light. None of them can hold a candle to Serena's overall record.

Women tennis players aren't kids at 17. Most of them are pros for years at that point. They usually don't last as a top 10 anywhere near as long as Serena though. Her staying power has been tremendous.
