I think at some point soon Serena will change her tune. She will realize that father time is catching up with her. Every competitor gets to that point where they realize that time is passing them by and their glory days are fading. She has had a great career, lets hope she goes out with dignity

She had a 2 year winning streak at the tour championships, where only the top players show. That streak was snapped with one of the worst losses of her career in terms of scoreline.

Whether casual tennis fans or white trash understand it or not, she had one of those days where literally nothing worked. That's what she said happened, and it was the truth.

I agree that giving zero credit to her opponent was a stupid choice, though. Halep is a premiere player and will make anybody having an off day pay.

I don't think consistency is a problem when it comes to Serena considering the fact that the word consistency is anathema to women tennis. Hell, Serena is much older than Sharapova, how consistent is Sharapova, or even any of the younger ones including Brouchard, Wozniacki, Kvitova Halep Radwanska? It is painful to try and elicit any consistency from any of them.
