I do wonder how much the instant nature of replay and feedback (and giant-ass jumbotrons) has impacted the even up calls. Like a ref makes a call that looks one way at game speed will see it 5 different ways by the time the next period starts.

Like do refs look up at the jumbotron and say "oh, fucked that one up"?

All things considered with recent special uniforms, that's not as bad a local tie in as it could have been.
