As we near the half way mark, the standings prove once again that points in October and November are so important.

In the Atlantic, there are 5 teams within 2 points of each other. And likely only 2 of them will make the playoffs.

In the Pacific, there are 4 teams within 4 points. Not quite as dire, all 4 would currently qualify for the playoffs.

Would assume it's a Federation thing. It's not like a parent will keep their kid from enrolling as a beginner and assume they would be a natural at age 5 and such.

At the higher level program, I wouldn't assume the parents have much of a say in anything.

I think if the kid is competing at the international level like Kovy was it would take one hell of a parent to get all of the fake paperwork in order without government knowledge/assistance.

Guy played in the NHL over parts of 9 seasons. Then he put in 25 years at a paper mill.
