Also, he failed physical and is not willing to get the surgery the Sabres want (the fusion one).

Sabres probably still think they can get 4 first rounders for him.

My read from all of this is that team doctors for other franchises who may have worked something out with Buffalo all came to the same conclusion upon seeing his medicals and aren’t willing to risk trading for him while he’s dead set on this procedure. If that’s the case I’m not sure what if any his next move can be here other than to get the surgery the league wants.

I still think aligning with sports betting is a bad idea. I understand everyone is aligned with them, but it raises questions about the integrity of the sport's results, IMO.

It's not like it's difficult to be corrupted now. Even more so that you can legally gamble in half the states.
