U can file this one under cool story bro, but i know a guy who wrestled locally under the name JOHNNY OBSESSION and he used to be introduced as “canadas next greatest athlete” heh

He was/is a garbageman with the city of vancouver. A few years ago he called in sick for a week while he was doing a 5 day show run with a circuit in oregon. His supervisor found a video of one of these shows on youtube that he was in and suspended him for a week lol

I know a local guy who wrestled the WWE circuit as well - we went for lunch at an all you can eat japanese/korean place, and he wrote down on the order sheet with the rest of the stuff 20 gyoza. They thought it was a typo and brought a dainty little plate with 2.
he corrected them, and along with a full complement of Korean BBQ and other stuff, powered through those gyoza like they were peanuts. The guy was jacked.
