Washington Penguins??????????:mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2::mad2:

I am getting ready to break some social distancing over this. Somebody give me an address please.

That is like showing up at a house in Pittsburgh and they give you Hunts Ketchup.

Or getting food in Maryland without rust shavings on it.

Carey Price, best goalie in the entire league? These guys sound more like my dad (I think he still thinks Felix Hernandez is a star pitcher) than people who are closer to the game than anyone.

Well, he deserves to be on the list more than Bob or MAF at this point.

I think Vasi is the best, personally.

Auston Matthews is the correct answer.

Mario has the highest number that was surpassed in goals.
4 times, but never hit 66 exactly.

I thought maybe Robbie Brown (44) did it, but he only had one season at 49.

I was thinking that 33 and 44 were going to be the best bets and then after I checked Bertuzzi's stat line and saw that he was wrong Matthews popped right into my head.

Maybe this best belongs in the CornonaVirus thread, but that one is too depressing so I have not ventured in there for a while

Anyways

At this point, does anyone want the season to resume?

Me, I really don't. I think the modifications that will be required will make the resumption a bit of a farce (no matter what route they might go) and the idea of the season dragging into August or later is of NO appeal to me.

I am all for scrapping it and resume things in September for next year.

Yeah, I'm kinda with you.

I don't want to watch a bunch of games on TV played in front of empty stands. Imagine there being no crowd to boo Bettman when he walks out to award the Cup and the players skating it around with nobody to cheer for them or hurl batteries at them.

I also wouldn't like the idea of playing a significantly shorter POs. I could maybe get on board with a three round system, but dropping to anything less takes away so much because the grind of the POs is what makes the SC so special.

The main reason I want the season to resume is because by the time we get rolling Seth Jones and Oliver Bjorkstrand will be back. Considering how we managed to hang on while everyone was hurt, I would love to see what we could do when healthy.

But no matter what happens, there will forever be an asterisks next to this season, so if we go much past mid - April to resume it might be worth just cancelling it. There's too much shuffling that needs to be done. Do you go by current standings or do you go by percentage of points gained to determine playoff order? No matter what, you are going to piss off / shit on four or five teams. Slam the door, freeze positions as is, run the draft lottery and let the draft and UFA day happen as scheduled.

Auston Matthews is the correct answer.

Mario has the highest number that was surpassed in goals. Jagr was close, topped out at 62 goals in 95-96.
Good call!

For some reason, I thought the question had to do with leading the league also.
Mogilny popped in my head but he wore 89 and his highest total was 76.

Actually Auston Matthews is one. Anyone found a number higher than 34?

Zetterberg seems like a possibility, gonna check that.

Also Nasty_Magician has cooties :heh:
