2-0 lead is the worst lead in hockey.

Any third period lead is the worst lead in Leafs hockey.

I wouldn't even be so upset about the god-awful shootout record if it didn't seem like they had a bonafide can't-miss chance to win it in OT every single time. Matthews has missed 3 breakaway attempts in three of those losses (one was in OT but still), Bozak missed an empty netter last night,, Nylander seems to have a great chance each game and miss it.

If they get jobbed by a former goalie for the millionth time tonight I'm going to take a bath in scotch and drain it using my liver.

Trying to find a bright side. They have lost every way imaginable this year, many of them on multiple occasions, but they are still in contention for the playoffs.

If this were baseball, something something pythagorean something something. Meaning, the law of averages will work tremendously in their favo(u)r next year.

A taste of the playoffs would be great, but if they just miss, then package that 1st for a decent D-man, I won't be unhappy.
