NHL time keeper forgot to start the clock for 6 seconds
The noticed and tried to correct but only put 4 seconds back on with 19 minutes left.
So everyone thought there were an extra 2 seconds in the period.
Lewis scores in those 2 seconds.
Turns out the officials noticed the extra two seconds and had corrected for that with about 18 minutes in the game.

why do we only notice these things in LA?

I have it on good authority that the LA timekeeper worked the 72 Olympics in Munich. Basketball timekeeper. And Putin arranged with President-elect Trump to have him brought into the US, to build his resume so that he will be qualified to timekeep the '18 Seoul Olympics and the '20 World Cup of Hockey. Both of which Russia will win. This would all be known except Assange and wikileaks are sitting on the emails btw Putin and Trump.
