Seriously though, this really negates the whole "Cap = Parity" argument the poors make. How the hell is it parity when all the Canadian teams have the disadvantage of a double-digit provincial income tax not to mention the disparity of the dollars while 4 teams have no state income tax and another ten teams have income taxes below 6%?

Some of those crazy contracts Canadian teams hand out are starting to make sense - GM's are afraid nobody will ever sign for them.
