On a somewhat related note, I read today that the four teams remaining that are contesting for Lord Stanley's chalice are the four highest scoring teams in the league. You need a hot goalie, not an expensive goalie.

True, and Fleury got Pit into the playoffs.
I didn't say anything there because I feel like Murray is the only reason they're in the CF.

Assuming MAF played like normal MAF - we'll even be generous and say regular season MAF rather than normal playoff form - and I think they lose to the Caps.

I really don't think they were ever losing to the Caps. They knew where every Ovechkin shot was heading and there's no reason to think MAF wouldn't have had been able to do the same. Combined with the power outage from the kids and I think the Caps were doomed from the get-go.

Really? You've seen him play in the playoffs before, right?

That's a little unfair at least as it relates to Tampa, since Bishop carries a cap hit of $5.9M and was the guy that brought them this far.

context: JPat tweeted that a couple minutes after Bishop was stretchered off

The last 2 playoffs he was vastly improved from his 2011-13 playoff form.

Ovechkin also had no points in the Caps' 5 games vs. the Pens this season and I'm pretty sure Fleury was in net for all of those.
He's still not the type that can steal you games in the POs, which Murray certainly did for them in that series.

That was a surprise move to me. Florida's a team on the rise so let's see if Rowe can help the team cotninue with that.

First they gave us "Puck Over Glass" and now they return with "Don't Take My Goal Away"

Very creative video by those guys for sure. Also the Penguins won last night. They also lost Game 1 to Washington, be interesting to see if they can win this series as well.

So, we're probably in for a sweep free postseason. Not sure I can recall one of those since I've been paying attention to hockey. So yes, you jamokes, 2005. Not really, my first distinct memory was Bourque getting the Cup, so HAH!
