Yeah, Julien gets fired he'll have a job quickly. I'm hoping the Senators make him an offer if he does get fired.

That's another possibility, but I think MTL will offer him more $$$ given that they can't hire a coach who doesn't speak English lest their xenophobic local fanbase lose their shit.

Both Pix and BT are right, though - I place far more of the B's situation on Chiarelli (sic) than I do Opera Claude. All that's happened since the Cup win is Boston has shipped out their better players for guys who weren't as good and assumed Chara would never age.

Hard to believe that a team in the Western Conference will make the playoffs with less than 90 points this season. Congrats to the Wild for backing into the playoffs.

Better than the divelanche backing right out of the playoffs.

If I'm a bedroom door in the Roy house I'm getting pretty damn nervous these days.

Funny thing is get rid of the loser point and the Avs are in a playoff spot and the Wild aren't.

If you have a shootout you have to have a loser point, IMO. No way should a team get nothing because of a skills competition.

The odd thing is that Minn only had 3 SOW, and 2 SOL, so most of their loser points came from losing in OT.

So I guess you're saying that Minnesota isn't wild about 3-on-3 OT?

SNidiots talking about Edmonton or Toronto trading Matthews to Arizona and what it would take to get him and throwing out packages like Ekman-Larsson, Domi/Strome and their first for him.

I mean, AZ loses any deal like that does it not? Even if you think Domi is overrated and Strome is a borderline 1C (I don't on either count, but for arguments sake), they'd be trading a top defenceman and a future first liner (the 1st rounder) for a slightly better first liner.
