^Bull, meet China shop

Caps outshoot Avs 47-19, with 5 loud-ringing posts that don't make the stat sheet.

Isles, Pens, Rangers, Flyers... get ready to get fucked up whichever of you draws us.

yeah cause regular season success always means post season success, Rangers have had Caps # for years

That's not good for Pittsburgh if he misses any time. They'd been doing good without Malkin but losing Fleury could hurt them big time.

The Islanders don't look especially interested in this game.

And it doesn't help that Berube has been pretty shaky.

Good.

I see J. Schultz has a PP assist today.

I didn't even know Jeff Schultz was still in the NHL.

The Pens dominated the Isles all game, but Murray was very impressive against limited tests. He was made of glue, very few rebounds, very in control.

And Matt Cullen was the best player on the ice for either team.

Also, never said always. Looking at the makeup of this particular team, which apparently you aren't because just... history.

But I can understand a focus on the past if you're a Rangers' fan since history is where the best seasons of your players lives.

It is definitely the most excited I've been about the Pens in years. Even when we were winning under Byslma, it felt like we were winning in the "wrong way" - i.e. without structure, and never adapting. Especially the latter always spelled doom in the playoffs.

Mike Johnston was even worse. I don't know if he's an NHL-calibre coach, but he was the worst possible fit for this team.

Now, under Sullivan, everything feels right. There are still holes, but we look like a team that is consistently maximizing potential and the talent we have on the ice. Rutherford's moves this year have been perfect.

I'm excited to see what we can do in the playoffs, but more than that I'm excited to see where this team can go with Mike Sullivan at the helm.

I agree. I like the way the team is doing all the right things. I like the puck possession, but more importantly, I like the way the team challenges the puck handler...not with hits but with backchecking, poke checks and stolen pucks. They haven't been giving teams much of a chance to carry into the zone, and have generated plenty of turnovers in the offensive zone and the neutral zone. It feeds into their puck possession and aggressive offensive style well.

If I were a goalie in this league, I would just skate out of my crease and make contact with the closest forward I see and then watch the goal get overturned on a challenge.
