@mattola I had to......

Sure, here's a Stanley Cup joke that might ruffle some feathers among Canadians:

"Why don't Canadians make good hockey players? Because every time they get close to the Stanley Cup, they apologize and let someone else have it!"

I’d ask why they’re interested in Jarmo but people asked wtf they saw in Waddell who was pretty inarguably much worse for the Thrashers than Jarmo was for Columbus.

Hell of a career little Joe

Not bad for a 7th round pick

Fantastic career and he has better numbers that several guys already in the Hockey Hall of Fame. Does that mean he should be in the HHOF? I'm not sure about that, but he has a strong case.

1332 games, 1068 points. Darn good but his highest point total was 81. Don’t recall him being a finalist for any trophies but I could have forgotten something.

71st all time in scoring, names in that group include Fleury, H Sedin, Taylor, Giroux, Daddy Tkachuk, Whitney, Mullen, Staal, Verbeek.

Tough HoF call.

Yeah, that's why I'm on the fence with Joe. The issue is that it's become the Hall of Very Good in recent years. Call me biased against the Oilers because I am, but there's no way in hell that Kevin Lowe should be in the Hockey Hall of Fame in either a player or GM capacity. He was like the 8th best player on those Oilers Cup teams (and that's being generous lol).

This guy became very insufferable. Those teams all definitely tanked lol

Yeah, the Avs knew what they were doing when they kept Joe Sacco as head coach when they saw the prize at the draft that year was Nathan MacKinnon. The Oilers won a draft lottery to get McDavid and it's tough to say if they actually tanked or just were that bad (likely a little of both). The Penguins also won a lottery to get Sid, but it's well documented that they tanked to get Mario and Lemieux saved the franchise.

Pavs never put up big points, his thing was big moments. If he had some some awards or a cup or two, he’d have a much better case

I think you’ll hear talk of him being HOF worthy while emotions are up but when they calm back down in a few years, they talk will die out. I think he’s a very good player but not quite HOF great

From those Sharks teams, I think Jumbo is the only guy that gets in. Marleau is borderline but I don’t think the games played is enough
