25 years playing and only 677 pts?? I thought he would have way more??
Giant Fuckstick has only passed 30 pts once since 2014.

If he couldn’t break guys without getting called for penalties based entirely on his size he would’ve been out of the league no later than 5 years ago.

Those of you on Twitter here's your chance!

"Why didn't you just leave your wife and stay with the weather girl?"

"Can you explain the ins and outs of cap circumvention?"

"Isn't it a conflict of interest to have someone on the active roster of a team working for the NHL office?"

What were you thinking when you stomped on Kesler's leg?

His bullshit explainers where I’m supposed to feel sympathy or something because hockey players sometimes only take home one or two million off of a 3 or 4 million contract are pretty funny to me.

Aww, only taking home annually what it takes the average family 20 years to make after taxes? I weep.

Yeah, hard to feel much sympathy for somebody like Pronger when there are former NHLers who played in the league for over 10 years and had career earnings much less that what he made in a single season. I wonder if you talked to some of them how they feel about that tweet thread.

Coulda stopped typing there, honestly.

When I read through the thread, someone asked why some teams get away with LTIR when the Canucks had all those penalties and his response was dismissive and mentioned that Lou officially retired.

So there you have it, officially from a league source. They prefer you violate the spirit of the rules. If you want to be punished - follow the rules.

The thing is even if Bettman were to step down, his likely successor is Bill Daly and it's just going to be more of the same bs from the league. There are several items that need to be addressed and the league just ignores them year after year.

Case in point...

Like, no shit? The league treats the GM's as some sort of authoritative competition committee rather than hired talent evaluators and negotiators.

Sure they should have a say but only among a diverse selection of people, some who are well-versed in the game and some who understand data and probabilities far more than fucking Brian Burke and can tell you the best way to generate excitement and fairness out of standing points and cap systems etc.

It's like the GMs are the oligarchs and Bettman looks like Putin.
