Avs in a playoff race, looks that way and that's a bad look for one of the game's brightest stars.

i would guess that the player also has a choice in when they come back. I do not have an answer for how to make this safer but they need to find one

The head coach of my JV team came from Canada and was head coach of a Junior team at one point. He said he had a problem with parents helping or outright taking the pre-screen that they used to baseline for concussion spotting. Someone stated that parents might score too well or help the kid score too well on pre-screens so later follow ups in concussion protocol might show a kid is "off" even when they are fine.

Natually next year every kid did their own pre-screens and scored really low so they'd look better on any subsequent screens no matter how they really were.

So when the driver to identify anomalies is in the hands of someone who has an interest in gaming the system, it's going to be really hard to get right across the board.

Wait, are we talking about concussion protocol or political redistricting? I forget what thread I'm in.

lol what the hell? ... parents were taking the kids baseline tests? Im assuming the situation in bold was occurring because the baseline testing system being used was strictly app/online based?

My sons team went for baseline testing at the beginning of the year at a health clinic that specialized in concussion testing. Still they can game the system by intentionally scoring low on the baseline tests. Major junior teams allegedly did it all the time. So the clinics have come up with combination in clinic baseline tests and then follow up app based tests that supposedly can spot those who are trying to dupe the testing versus those who are natural born idiots.

Yes, the baseline test was online for "ease of use".

And this would have been at least 5 years ago, so I hope that they have caught on to the ones gaming the system.

Given the equipment goalies of that time wore, what goes through my head is not as impactful as what goes through my shorts.

I like the story where he basically moved all his belongings into a new house during the day and went out and scored five goals that night (eight points total).
