Once upon a time, he was in the Jackets organization and tagged as the next coach once Todd Richards fizzled. Then they decided to hire Torts instead.

One of the best coaches in the game, and a prime example of the new style coaches teams should be building around. Him, Sullivan, Cooper are the right direction. Rehashing Torts is not.

Congrats Jared.

It's not that I don't think Buffalo should do this, I just see it causing more problems than solving if Jeff Skinner's sticking around and even with his rebound I don't think you're moving that contract without eating half which shouldn't be an option. You'd either have the Skinner headache around again or stifle Quinn & Peterka's developments, none of which makes any sense.

Better off strengthening the bottom 6 and bottom 4 and finding a goalie.

If somehow they can get Skinner to San Jose it will guarantee at least 2 or 3 more years of never making the playoffs.

Did you know Jeff Skinner is no longer 18 years old?

What is the last time he played in the playoffs while at Kitchener?

That was the knock on Jay Bouwmeester for the longest time until he landed in St. Louis. I mean, he was on some pretty bad Florida and Calgary teams for the first 8 years of his career.

Not at all in almost 900 games played. Like Bouwmeester he has played on some god awful teams so you more feel for him vs make fun of him.
The guy who gets overlooked a lot about the lack of playoffs is Olii Jokinen. If he wasn't traded to the Flames for the one playoffs, no one would ever touch him in that infamy.

If jokinen wasn’t traded to the Flames we’d never get that awesome gif either - the waffle one I think.

I find that very confusing. Or, more specifically, Belarus specifically.

The Sabres had one guy play a season and a half in Buffalo over 20 years ago (Vladimir Tsyplakov... I had to look it up).

I know the pickings are slim for Belarusian players, but still, why Buffalo?

Wait the UK are the Dolphins?!? I thought the Jaguars were UK's team or is that what the NFL tells us every year when they go to London for a game.
