Did you ever hear of Wayne Gretzky?

Matthew Tkachuk just passed up a great chance to spear a fat pig :D

The guys from Canada should have been booing him while he was talking.

I thought it would be a blood bath before the year and now it is. IMO there is no lock in the division as far as making the postseason goes.

The Pans are close to a lock but a losing streak puts them in danger. Worth noting that the Leafs have played 30 games at home already to only 22 on the road. They have the most road heavy schedule down the stretch. They'll need to be sharp. It's going to be a crazy race.

I was expecting it to be tight.

What I didn't expect is that we would be a part of it. Fully expected we'd be about 10 points out of the fight.

Marchenko's injury hurts, and if Fabbro is hurt as well that will be rough. Jenner comes back soon and Chinakov is skating again. Those guys will help.

The Four Nations Face-Off break is coming at a good time for the Jackets, hopefully the guys currently out of the lineup can get back without missing too many games. I know I'm hopeful that Zary can return for the Flames sometime in March.

Werenski got banged up last game and is not at today's morning skate.

Hope he goes the Pietrangelo route.

The Jackets have been playing great hockey for a while. Evason has got to be one of the nominees for COTY, especially given some of the injuries that are popping up.

Timing is just a bit off for the Sens but it'll help. Jensen is still out. Now Norris is out. I'd like to see Ullmark stay home from the FNFO but it looks like he'll go for Sweden. Two in a row (both in Tampa) against the Lightning with the Sens on a B2B, then a 3rd in 4 nights will be a test. Would've been nice if these key games came after a little rest.

Forgot to mention that Kevin Bahl is also out for the Flames, he's been really good this season on the backend and the Flames need him back as soon as possible.

Werenski just ruled out for tonight's game. That's our top D pair out.
