Great win last night.... the Turner moment is kind of like their Joe Morgan/Barry Bonds big Dodger v. Giant pennant moments.
If Kershaw clinches at home tonight in front of the hated ones, the season is a total success for me. Anything can happen in the playoffs (other the Giants winning it all or beating the Dodgers in a 7 game series) and I will be at peace with the most bi-polar Dodgers team I can ever remember.
I applaud the collective sentiment around here that the Dodgers can make some noise in the playoffs. I just do not share that optimism. I kind of feel like any Dodger post board is going to see things through blue colored glasses and that might explain why there is so much optimism. I mean, to disregard the defensive/bullpen/rotation issues seems like biased, unconditional team support.
But who knows, it's baseball. The Giants have proven twice that you can be a mediocre team with good starters and get hot at the right moment and win it all.
