Well, you could say the same thing going into last night, last night was 1 game, you take the best player in the league in that situation too, right? Everyone would have went Crosby going into last night and what did he do? Nothing

The only way he ever wins is if he has legitimate leadership around him(like Jonathan Toews on Team Canada) - teams can't win with Sid especially when there isn't leadership around him and nobody to set him straight when he starts mouthing off to the refs and showing bad energy

if you're building a team to win 1 game, you have to take the best player in the league IMO. unfortunately, that's crosby.

I think Crosby actually played better in Sochi (including the gold medal game) than he did in Vancouver (even though he scored the golden goal four years ago). Bernie Parent shut down a Bruins team loaded for um bear in 1974 and King Henrik did that to the Pens this year.

I needed a checking winger who could chip and goal and add snarl. Is that not Nino?

Crosby is a top line player. And I would not replace anyone on my top line with him, based on this year. Nor would I put him on a third or fourth line because that's not his role. I am not saying that Nino is a better player than Sid. I am saying in the role where I have Nino it makes more sense to have him there over Crosby.

Kopitar has delivered this year, Kane and Toews have delivered this year. That's my top line.

It's about winning and Jeff Carter isn't a guy that gets frustrated and acts like a child - Sid acts like a child and does things that captains shouldn't do - you don't want that negative energy on your team - you want guys who will work hard and not complain to the refs all the time about why they don't get calls, etc - Sid is bad energy for a team
