Alright, thanks. My intuition is that there should be a fee for both parties of a trade, where you would be penalized a certain number of waiver spots based on how often you traded, but perhaps that can be explored in years to come.

I honestly don’t think I like trades for this league.

Idk. Trades should be a lot of fun in This league. Must win weeks might cause some great trades.

Interesting thought. We'll see how it plays out. I'm sure we'll learn a lot.

One thing, though - you must include an actual offered player in the Initial Offer period. Your target can be a waiver swap alone, but the offer must include a real player.

It introduces a ton of variability. A week you thought was safe could become a challenge, and a week you thought you were out of it could come within range. Which makes it really hard to completely game out. That's part of the importance of making trading open and with three phases, so you can try to outbid a trade that could be really damaging to you. No surprise trades.

It's true that running the same league with no trades at all would be interesting, as the whole post-draft game would be astute use of add/drops. That version could do a game a day. Maybe even two. (But the draft would still be slow.)

When this one ends we can think about that variation. (And it's possible to use stats from a different season.)

That is exactly why I don’t like it. Don’t want the variability.

Would love to run another without the trades.

Yeah that seems like something right up your alley @wilwhite. I'll trade you Peyton Manning's 2013 season and Rob Gronkowski's 2011 season for Ladanian Tomlinson's 2006 season and Jerry Rice's 1995 season. Seems like easy work for a commissioner. LOL.

LOL.

I think he meant like use all the stats from the 2020 season.

Or any other.

Antonio Gibson aka the hopscotch king is now on team milk. Y’all should all be ashamed.
I actually thought pretty hard about him and Elijah Mitchell. You made a smart move grabbing Andrews.

That would be pretty meta, though.

Well I can screw myself over on bye weeks or I can go to bed. I guess I am going to bed and rethink this in the morning.

I haven't even looked at a bye week. Perhaps I should do that. I've gotten in the habit of not letting that deter me in drafts, but perhaps since we already know the stats I should rethink that strategy.
