No matter who you spell him, I'd sign him for 1 year - maybe 2 if he wants. If nothing else, he can be a leader for the offense and make sure players are held accountable and help whatever other TE's we acquire play the right way. Our TE unit was a bleeping disaster last season. He was one of the best 2-way TE's I've ever seen.

I looking at the TE draft class and it looks pretty deep. We can get some good talent in the 3rd round. These small school guys look interesting.

HE has great hands and is a very good possession receiver. But he doesn't ever break any tackles after catch. Watch the video. He goes down way too easily for a guy his size. I like your idea, use him as a stop gap but draft a young guy to groom for the following year.

Had some time to think on this...No thanks. We are a young team and signing a 35 yr old TE makes no since for the direction of the team. We are not winning anything next year or the year after so either sign a FA who is 25-27 years old or draft one. Embrace the young and play them. Experience is everything. Draft offensive linemen to protect Haskins and he will be fine. We need young playmakers and they develop by playing.
