That's because you only have three. You must always maintain a starting lineup which means you will always have to carry:

1 quaterback
2 running backs
2 wide receivers
1 tight end
1 kicker
3 IDP's

ouch. Well that wrenches my plans. Guess the QB2’s I have are easy chucks.

thanks for clarifying.

Old School baby! None of this kicking the decision can down the road while you ride with no kicker for awhile....love it.

As to the roster size, in case anyone else hasn't noticed-- I didn't notice myself until the '20 D1 rookie draft trying to moniter everyone's drop/draft limitations--- but at the very bottom of your team page, Fantrax has your roster size right there.

So we will be playing with 30 roster spots?

Or will we have another cut down to 25 again?

Bandit I thought of sending a pm for this but figure everyone might as well see it

I don’t get why once we are down to 25 that we can add

I feel we should only add during the draft

Let’s say some one has traded away their picks why should they bump to 30 any maybe grab a player that might have been drafted by some one else

They also would maybe facilitate a trade by using a player they added

I think some dropped players that are added may be better than some players that will be drafted in round 2 or 3

It is also more work for you commishes to monitor in the week leading up to our draft

I just don’t get the down to 25 up to 30 again etc etc

I guess the best way for me to put it is

Let’s say I have only draft pick 4.8 and 5.8

Why should I add a player that some one else might had drafted before pick 4.8

Are you saying that there just shouldn't be any waiver and free agent period at all or are you saying that the roster limits shouldn't be allowed to go above 25 if they add somebody? Which argument are you making?

I think he means at all. As first add is 1.1 in the draft.

His argument being that getting to make a claim subtracts players from the draft pool, which may otherwise have been drafted (thereby giving less value to the 3rd round, and less punishment for those without early picks)

I think...

I guess the best explanation is-

Post NFL draft, Pre our rookie draft, level the roster size playing field, everyone down to the roster max limit (or lower). Cuts are made, free agency begins as we know where our rookie class has landed. And we're then given a 5 man taxi squad, to fill as we please. Can fill it with guys off the wire, can do nothing until the draft, it's up to you. D1 is setup very similar with a one week waiver period before our rookie draft, but no taxi squad...as per those stinking polls.

As to the why?? Why is it this way and not some other way? Cuz that's the way we choose to put it together. No choices are %100 loved, none are %100 perfect, but it's the way we choose to do it going off opinions gathered from years interacting with y'all, and countless polls in D1, getting a feeling for what most people like and what they dislike, and our own personal experiences and preferences, and then hammering out what we thought most everyone would like and enjoy, most of the time.

Looks like I'm already down to 25 thanks to my flush back in March.

It was a clean flush with no streaks on the way down.
