Anyone else think an AJ Green or Phillip Lindsay, Braylon Edwards, Kenyon Drake or Gerald Everrett/Rudolph is a better option than your 25th man?? Come get em

Now that trade is a surprise, because Everett seems to be a JAG, but a 3rd isn't all that valuable either and as a backup guess Everett will do.

Yeah, those LAR TE's are tough to figure. Obviously McVay has no issues utilizing them, he featured them heavily with Goff, but Stafford certainly prefers the WR's, however, when he chooses to go to a TE, it works well seeing as everyone is focused on Kupp/ and what will now be AROB but was Woods and OBJ, so it not like there isn't roster worthy value there..definitely couldn't just flat out cut him, Id' rather have Brady's Rudolph as my #2, so might as well take what I can get out of him.

well, still somewhat applies, Herbert defintely prefers the outside guys, and the TE can easily be forgotten in the defensive gameplan

If it were not TE premium I wouldn't have done it. But outside of Schultz, let's face it, I have no one but a wing and prayer at that position - so now I have two wings. ....
