Apparently he developed some cajones tonight - 10 assists. I just scored 37 in my fantasy from the dude and the Lakers got the win.

I think Lin is capable of being a above average pg on a good team. Today the Defenses had to stay honest with the other guys and he was able to get the step he needs to be more effective. If he was a step faster he would be a great pg. Hes got vision and heart. I really like him.

To be fair - this is the hardest he has ever had to work on defense - He called Byron Scotts training camp the hardest one in the NBA - translated - He has never had to work so hard in his life, so having to work on defense has slowed him down. As he continues to work on that, however he will get better and be the point guard he needs to be. I picked him up thinking that as a starting point guard he would give me the assists I needed from a guard and he has been a disappointment until tonight. If he continues to do that - I might win some games

If he can play like this and the Lakers can put more talent around him, he can be the starting PG for quite awhile. He won't be "Linsanity" ever again, but he doesn't need to be. He just needs to play like he did tonight more consistently.

Tonight he played like a point guard and if continues to play like a point guard - Kobe won't be throwing up bricks and the others will be shooting better and the Lakers will be fun to watch. Just think - Lin would be the first legitimate point guard the Lakers have had in twenty years or more -

He's the perfect compliment to Kobe in the backcourt. He knows Kobe is the man and he can also play off the ball when Kobe is running the offense. He's a solid player imo.

Having said that.....if he wants to return next season he better be okay with 5-6 million per season, basically the MLE.

He needs to get more consistent this year to even be worth that much

Yeah, because that's what people are saying.:L

With a comment like that, I'm amazed that you're bright enough to turn on a computer and actually make a post. Your special ed teacher must be top notch.

That's cold . To be fair though while Linsanity is not worst point guard in the NBA he by far isn't the best either and has a long ways to go in order to be a reliable pg. If he is willing to continue working with Byron Scott and continue working on defense, then yes I agree that will be a valuable asset. Right now though his playing good is erratic. That's how becoming better works though. It starts out with some good nights and then the good nights continue to grow. It's a work in progress.

I'm done being nice to/ignoring posters who want to drop into a thread and post shit that no one is saying because it happens to fit whatever their agenda is.

It's a definite work in progress. He's playing with new players and in a new system. You can't expect things to click immediately.

I think B. Scott needs to get through Lin's knaggen that he needs to get the same attitude that Swag has and not defer so readily to Kobe but run the offense. He also needs to work on his O and stop missing so many in-close shots. He does that consistently and the Lakers will be pleased and the O will continue to get better.

Thats what i did with Leroy. He would stumble over himself on his opening sentence then ignore any and all points even after his were addressed. Some people are just fucking stupid.

I think we have all gotten away from the ignore function and forgot about it, but I found it again for a special poster. Sometimes it's better to put them on ignore so you won't be tempted to respond to their stupidity:lol:
