Shit. Ya I see that. Its on my end. Not sure what is going on. It's a piece written by hub on not giving up on our young QB. Shows stats from some of the greats their first 3 years. Trubisky's numbers are right in line with Brady Bree's and quite a few other top QBs. I can't seem to post it here.

But but...BWW thinks there's "no hope" for Trubisky and after reading their minds, the front office thinks there's no hope left too...and they brought in Foles, not to compete with Trubisky but to make Foles the starter outright and are only saying it's a competition because they don't want to hurt Trubisky's feelings even though they think he's a bust.

--can't make this stuff up.

Oh, the ole "let's compare QB numbers now to a totally different thing? lol. Historically, decade QB numbers spike up drastically.

Even despite that.

Year 3 Starting:

Brees (11-4): 65.5% (7th) 7.9 Y/A (7th) 27 TD (7th) 6.8 TD% (4th) 7 INT 1.8 INT% (3rd) 104 Rating (3rd)

Trubisky (8-7): 63.2% (18th) 6.1 Y/A (32nd) 17 TD (27th) 3.3 TD% (30th) 10 INT 1.9 INT% (15th) 83 Rating (28th)

Also, if I can anecdotally handpick a group of busts or bad QB's that Mitch compares to after 3 years. Does that mean we should dump him? No? Okay then.

That same article gets written about every QB that is busting. People used to write it about Rex too. Comparing his numbers to Bradshaw's and other nonsense.

It's always the last ledge to cling to before it all ends. "I handpicked a good QB decades ago that his early numbers are similar to!"

Mitch can be a good backup or a decent enough journeyman stop-gap guy. Seeing as he has a good attitude, is well-liked, etc. I could see him having a Josh McCown like career.

He needs a fresh start, though. Start over as a backup somewhere. I think the pressure of failing here has weighed heavily on him. He's a nice boy. He doesn't have the edge of a Rodgers or Brady. This has been bad for his psyche. He's not cut out for this type of scrutiny and pressure.

Sorry but there's no hope for Trubisky my friends. At least the front office realize this and brought in Foles to save the day but it's nice for them say it's a competition even though we all know Trubisky is a bust

It would seem that some are delusional, others are willfully ignorant to that fact. Its so painfully obvious that we completely failed in that draft. Even Watson would have been sooooooooo much better. Blundering front office, gonna blunder.

Since 1990 your Bears are 19-42 vs your main rival. So tell me about the perspective of not having a good or solid or winning QB for at least 30 years... @noonthirtyjoe , I'll hang up and listen

We had the better teams for the most part, you had the better QB. It's a QB league. If we had your QBs we would have SB trophys to show for it. You blew it. 1 SB in AR's time. That is called blowing it.

There is a ton of hope for Trubisky still. The front office thinks so too. We still needed a quality back up and Foles gives us that. Foles pushing Trubisky will be key this year.

That same article gets written about ever QB busting.

Ya that was not what it was about. It was comparing numbers from the elites in their first 3 years to Trubisky's. It was showing that a lot of the top QBs did not start playing great till year 4 or 5 even.

No run game, bad Oline, no TE, bad play calling. Watson or Mahomes would not look good here any more then Trubisky. It's a team sport and our offense sucked across the board. We failed to support our QB in any way. Maybe Trubisky is a bust or maybe not but our failer was not on draft day. It was on every day after the draft.

And Green Bay has shown the league how to ruin a HoF QB's tenure by putting a scrub team around him.

You make a valid point, but some folks on this board are eternally optimistic.
