First, I don't know that he said he wanted to be a pocket passer, I've never heard him mention it. Second, I'm not bashing him. He needs to be both a pocket passer as well as a mobile passer. Different game situations will call for different plays.

What I say above is theoretical. If any QB, or for that matter, any player, didn't want a play called strictly because it put him in a situation or category he didn't like, then he needs to be bashed and/or benched. He is putting his needs above the team. See my theoretical comments above on Garcon.

not more then 10 seconds after gruden finished his press conference RG3 was quoted that he wanted to be a pocket passer and didnt want to run the read option play anymore

Wrong. It was reported that he said that by someone from the NFL network. He was never quoted. Again, I draw my conclusions by what I hear and see from the participants directly, not from some unsubstantiated rumor.

It's not. I don't draw my opinions based on rumors.

BTW, i guarantee you Robert will run the read option next year. Maybe not as much as Year 1, but it will be in the playbook and he will run it. If Gruden had Dalton run it, you know darn well Robert will run it.

me neither , i think he wanted more spread out formations

Let me be a bit clearer. What I don't think is true is that Robert ever said this. He is too smart to come out right after a new coach is announced and state he won't be willing to do certain things, especially after all of the crap he has gone thru this year.

This does not mean that he doesn't have this sentiment. We know that his father does and his father is a huge influence on him. His Dad has come out and said that Robert needs to be a drop back passer, no great QBs were running QBs. Robert's Dad is focused on Robert's legacy first. Therefore, it wouldn't surprise me if Robert has adopted this same line of thinking. But he would never say that in public. I also think that if a play was called that he was unhappy with, he would still run it to the best of his ability.

Personally, I think Robert, and the Skins, would be better served if if we saw and heard less of RG2. He did a great job of raising Robert, but he needs to let his son become a man and stop telling him what to do and think.
