Yeah ND is so afraid to play Michigan that we scheduled a home and home with UGA, Texas and now Ohio State since getting Michigan off the schedule.

Didn't say you were afraid I said you must HATE them.

I hope we don't catch a lot of flack for scheduling cupcakes
Once the B1G goes to the 9 game IC, you will be doing what every one else is doing - 1 Big 5 Conference game, 2 cupcakes. I will give you credit for scheduling better games with UT, OU, and ND, and not Kansas, Kentucky, WashState and the like.

Like RA stated. The Michigan vs ND "rivalry" is a bit on the fabricated side.

They have played 30 some games?

I would think ND has played Stanford more.

Counting this years ND will have played meeeechegan 42 times & Stanford 29 times.

I was just being sarcastic. That's what UM fans generally think on why we ended the series. I do hate them that's for sure.

I'll trade you straight up and wouldn't even have to think about it. Play this stretch:

10/04/14 vs. LSU
10/11/14 at Mississippi State
10/25/14 vs. South Carolina
11/01/14 at Ole Miss
11/08/14 vs. Texas A&M
11/15/14 at Georgia

Then in two weeks Alabama

That's brutal no doubt. We end the season with Stanford, UNC, FSU, ASU, Louisville and USC. With our cupcake games against Navy and Northwestern. Like I said both are brutal.

tOSU has tried to do this for years. For whatever reason there was a couple years recently where they were slacking. They did this before when scheduling USC, TX and Miami and are getting back into the practice. I hope it continues with the H/H.

Its due to scheduling years in advance. When they put Cal on the schedule they were pretty good, but their program fell apart before the series came due.

TCU is an elite?

Maybe not elite now. They and Boise were right up there with just about anyone just a few years ago. At the moment, they are a mid-level power 5 conference foe. Still nothing to sneeze at.

I don't know, I've never met an ND fan that doesn't hate scUM and vica versa. And dropping them then scheduling their main rival? Pretty fucking classic imo. Love it.

I remember that H/H series with UT as both programs were at the top at the time and the loser of that game was pretty much out of the NC chase.

First, TCU is a fine team to schedule OOC. Especially when you have UT, ND and OU on the schedule. That said, TCU and Boise were products of playing in mid-tier conferences and having an annual upset against BCS teams. TCU's true colors are showing in the BigXII, and I don't expect that it will change. But, again, it is perfectly fine to schedule them OOC in my opinion.

They were great games, would be nice if that happened more. Would be interesting to see some kind of forced game where the top 10 or 15 have to play each other. The rankings are usually wrong but it gives you a little something to go by.

And the winner of the game got to the NC each season. :suds:

Different squads so its difficult to tell. The year TCU won the Rose Bowl they were as good as anyone in the country.

Wouldn't say they are close to that level now, nor are they consistently at that level, but its still a solid OOC matchup. Definitely not on the same name recognition level as the elite blue bloods on that list like OU, UT, ND. But, since I'm living in DFW, I'm banking on the TCU home end being played at Jerry World so I'm pretty excited about that.

Wish we would've kept Georgia and Tennessee on the schedule though.

With UGa it never got beyond discussion. Now, we really did bail on Oregon.

We have ND which I like. Seeing how we are undefeated against tOSU, I'd love to play your sorry asses! :suds:
