I want Cousins and it will be hard for me to watch and support the skins next year if they let him walk... with that said. They will probably let him walk because that would be the wrong move.

Free Agents To Sign
WR: Allen Robinson/Watkins/Landry (we must sign one of those receivers)
WR: Paul Richardson or J. Brown
TE: Trey Burton
DT: David Irving RFA or Sheldon Richardson
QB: Teddy Bridgewater or Case Keenum
G: Luke Joeckel (depth)

Resign
Trent Murphy
Grant
Vigel

Let Walk
Breeland
Long
Paul
Pryor
Lauvou
Zach Brown (good player but you cant pay inside backers that much money)
Galette
Compton

Trade
Cravens for a 4th round pick
Jordan Reed for a 3rd round pick

Cut
Rob Kelley
Ziggy Hood
Terrell Mcclain

Draft
1st: Vita Vea NT (probably my least favorite of the picks)
2nd: Sony Mitchell RB
3rd: Luke Falk QB
3rd: Mike Mccray OLB/ILB
4th: Taylor Hearn G
4th: Caleb Wilson TE
5th: Tray Matthews S
6th: Sam Mustipher C
7th: Casey Tucker OT

QB: Bridgewater (FA)/Mccoy/Falk (R)
RB: Mitchell (R)/Thompson/Perine
WR: Doctson / Maurice Harris
WR: Allen Robinson (FA) / John Brown (FA)
WR: Crowder / Grant
TE: Burton (FA)/ Vernon Davis / Sprinkle / Caleb Wilson (R)
LT: TWill / Nshke
LG: Taylor Hearn (R) / Kalis
C: Roullier / Mustipher (R)
RG: Scherff / Joekel (FA)
RT: Moses / Casey Tucker (R)

Offense: 26

LE: Jonathan Allen / Ioaniddis / Lanier
NT: Vea (R) / McGee
RE: Sheldon Richardson (FA) / Ioaniddis / Lanier
OLB: Kerrigan / Anderson
ILB: Mason Foster / Spaight / Harvey Clemons
ILB: Mike Mccray (R) / Vigil / Harvey Clemons
OLB: Preston Smith/ Trent Murphy
CB: Norman / Dunbar
CB: Fuller / Moreau / Holsey
FS: Nicholson / Everett
SS: Swearinger / Tray Matthew (R)

Defense: 24

LS: Sundberg
K: Hopkins I guess
P: Way

Obviously very early but just my crack at it. 4 rookies starting. Throw them into the fire, particularly Guards and Inside backers.

Not spending too much in free agency. The receiver will cost a lot, Richardson wont be cheap either but they will all be less then what Cousins will cost.

***If someone offers a trade back do it.
***Dont recklessly spend because Skins when they lose Cousins will once again be in a rebuild.

I want to plug Norwell from the Panthers in at LG just about as much as I want the Skins to re-sign Kirk.

I would love Michel in the 2nd, but it looks like he might not be there.

If Kirk walks I try to trade for Alex Smith and draft a QB in the 3rd. If the price is too steep for Alex, I hope Allen or Mayfield drops to 13. If all that fails, we are probably looking at McCoy and a mid round QB.

Re-sign Zach and draft a nose. If Zach walks hope Roquan is there.

Richardson or Landry opposite Doctson. We need a guy that is somewhat proven at wideout.

I know this may be small, but I really want to get Rose back in here and let him and Hopkins battle it out.

Like Galette but I'm not sure how much they like Galette.
Murphy can stay or go, doesn't really matter to me. Ive never been a big TM guy.

Think I might roll the dice with Nicholson, unless Joyner from LA shows interest. Even then I might spend the money elsewhere and see if Nicholson can stay healthy.

Spend 4th and 5th rounds either o-line or safety depth.

Draft a speedy punt returner who can also stretch the field around the 3rd or 4th.

Not sure what to do about Cravens. My guess is he's gone. Keim reported that he's lost a lot of the locker room and disappeared for a day last year on a separate occasion.

Might cut Kelley if we find a back.

Hope Todd Bowles gets blown outta NY and hire him to be the asst. HC and DC if Manusky's squad falls apart down the stretch again.

Either get Reed up to speed or find a TE that can catch and block.

Some interesting posts. Here is my question ... do we need to replace talent so much that we are going to start next year with largely a new offense? If so is that because Cousin's doesn't come back?

Why would we trade away draft capital and pay Alex Smith’s salary instead of just paying a few million more for KC?

Is Richardson any more established than Doctson?

Well I'm operating under the assumption that KC will not sign. I think if he really wanted to be here and Bruce really wanted him here it would have happened by now
I pray I'm wrong.

Richardson is not much more established, but I think there is something to him. He breaks down the defense, something Doctson doesn't do and is a burner. He tracks the ball much better than Pryor. That's why I wasn't as high on Pryor. 40 times don't equal production.

Landry is the guy to get, but he's got serious baggage and a much bigger price tag. I'm good with either one though.

tre burton is a 3rd string TE , do you want sprinkle to start with Reed gone or do you think burton is our starter ?

your wrs are worth looking into but word has it mathews will be tagged

i like TB , but joekel needs to be a starter

overall i dont like signing FA's because the vast majority bust out . we have like a 30% hit rate for the past decade . but you always have too , but just not 70% will fail

trading reed ? not there yet , cravens , i doubt we get much for him and we take a net loss but you cant trust him anymore

i will come out with a mock but your 1st 3 picks are ok because of the positions you went after . but getting 4 starters from this draft is unrealistic (at least in year one )

overall not a bad crack at a plan though

Ill be pissed if we sign Landry even before you factor in any offfield stuff. Hes gonna cost a lot of money for a guy who struggles to get you 10 yards a catch. Not a bad player but if hes getting WR1 money I think thats a big problem.

Pats have built several teams with significant help from FA. As did the SB champ Broncos. And the Seahawks. And this years Jags, Eagles, and Vikings. And plenty of other good teams.

I like ARob or Watkins, not so much Landry.
I like Prich and Brown.
Would be down for Teddy if hes reasonable to acquire.
I think Burton will be too expensive and I dont think we really need a TE.

Richardson could be interesting depending on the $$$

I wish we could bring back Breeland and Brown but Im sure BB is gone and Brown might be too :(

I love that Cravens trade but dont see it ever happening. His value is pretty much 0 right now.

Reed I wouldnt give up for a 3rd and at the same time am not sure we could get that. When hes healthy hes dominant though so I wouldnt give that away.

Draft looks pretty good. Like those first 2 picks. Dont know all that much about Falk but seems like a good time to take a QB.

Sammy Watkins- 65 catches, 1047 yards, 9 TDs...individual bests
Jarvis Landry- 100 catches, 1010 yards, 6 TDs...averages

Yeah your WR bias is obvious. That being said, I am not against Watkins.

Funny thing about Reed and I love him as a pass catcher. The injuries are an issue, much like they were with DJax and maybe worse. But here is the deal if you want to run the ball well you need a tight end that can block. Decisions, decisions.

Lol. I'd love to know what causes my bias for Watkins.

My famous Clemson love or that I'm secretly a huge bills fan? Hmmm which could it be.

Also that completely ignores all other context but sure.

One is called a possession receiver and the other is a game breaker. Both are good to have. Sort of like Monk and Clark but that is before ehb's time.

Then too I don't want either guy.

No idea. Maybe you don’t like short men. There isn’t an actual legit reason to want Watkins over Landry so it comes down to bias.
