I honestly don’t have a problem with this. Obviously others here do.

Not my first choice, but come on! We could do WAY worse.

Not that I have a problem with it either......he's won a SB,and like 6 straight winning seasons in Dallas,so what's not to like??

I just never seen it coming to actually think about it.

My hopes were Ben,Vrabel and Buffalo's oc......

But I figured those guys won't be here anyways.....so all I want is whoever our headcoach is.......PLEASE DON'T SUCK!!!

Just help me out with this.

Why do you ask Dallas for permission to interview McCarthy one day before his contract expires? Dallas has a 7 day exclusive negotiation period starting after that, so anyone you want to interview of any merit in the playoffs now are not going to interview anyway.

After today, you have no need to ask permission, McFarthys agent just starts scheduling appointments on January 14th.

I just see us needing to reach a deal to hire him over the next week that will cost us draft picks.

Bears are all about the show for the fans. They're going to interview/announce that they're interviewing a TON of candidates to make it look like they are doing the right thing....

...and then after all the pomp and circumstance they'll most likely do something stupid, based on our history.

I know nothing of his contract......

But I really doubt they hire MM anyways....iI think it's just a starting point.

A quick hire like that means we didnt do our due diligence of finding the right guy......but then again,if we take our time to do that, someone will probably snag the best hc out there before we get to interview them....

Life of being a Bear fan.

The optimist in me is hoping that by bringing in so many candidates from various backgrounds and levels of expertise that perhaps the honest answers the Bears brass hears from them gives them some insight as to how they have failed as an org.

That they truly use this as a way to right the wrongs that have plagued them in recent decades.

Based on “The List”… We’re most assuredly going to fuck this up.
