I forgot about baker. Baker and Jenkins should be fine for this year.

baker and jenkins are back up players . we need 2 nimble de's who can get pressure on the qb and hold up in the running game . jenkins and baker give you half of that in the running game

I know skinsdad but we cant satisfy every need in one offseason. We are going to have to bypass DE this year.

we dont have to bypass DE ,when we draft if the DE is the best player on the board we simply pick him

you dont go into a draft and say my 2nd rounder is a wr and nothing else matters . you take the BPA at a position of need and if DE is the best player you take him

If Truitt or Ealy drop to us then yes I would consider it. Most likely the BPA would be a WR. I have a tough time with Amerson being the BPA at the time that we picked him. The BPA rule is not always the right choice. IF the BPA is a RB or QB do we draft him? No. So need has something to do with it. IMO Amerson was a need pick b/c of our older CB's and Hall and Wilson being FA at the end of the year made a difference in the decision.

you draft the best player available at a position of need . if there isnt value at that spot then you simply draft the best player on your board regardless of position. this has been my philosophy for years

so if the wr available at 34 is ranked 65 on my board i would move to the next need say the d/line , o/line , cb or safety who is rated higher on my board . if i cant fill that need either because the value isnt there i would look at my board and draft the guy who is highest rated period

you have no real idea as to who will be available to us at 34 and if that wr is worth that pick . you keep all options open

notes on the game

dee ford OLB , 2 sacks , one PD 3 pressures . if you let Rak walk the all talk of WRS in round 2 go out the window and he has to be the pick rob jackson cant apply enough pressure

te crocket gilmore , a good compliment to jordan reed , block and catch seems like an upgrade to paulson or paul

ILB borland would be my pick to take over for LBF . probably in round 4 , kirksley is another one who looked good

christian jones can play any lb position and can do them all well

mcgill, decir jean baptiste are all tall rangy CBS we could use

seantrel henderson looked awful . gave up 2 sacks looked stiff he might be a 7th rounder at best

dt cudrin reid out of princeton 6-2 301 could have a possibility as a 3/4 de . he had 2 sacks

cyril richardson struggled at OG with quickness his stock went down

ryan hewlitt fb /te another versatile guy we can draft that can help us
