Wade is to the Heat as Kobe is to the Lakers. He's poured his heart and soul into that organization and stayed through thick and thin. If the Heat have any say in it he will be a Heat until he retires. There are just some players that teams need to do that for.

I understand the concept...however, they have LBJ whom is putting in all the hard work. If they want 2 win again they can't afford 2 let Wade's wagon stay hitched unless he takes considerably less, like less than $10 mil a season so they can afford more talent @ the guard position.

Kobe in LA is a lil different since Kobe is their best player.

As we've seen, all that rest they gave Wade during the reg season had no impact on his game in the Finals...so IMO he's not worth a double digit contract anymore.

Honestly, I think the problem was how they rested him. They held him out of too many games. They should have taken Pop's approach of sitting out fewer games and playing fewer minutes per game.

Also, one thing that the Heat fans are right about, after last seasons finals, everyone was saying Ginobili was done. Look how he played in these latest finals. He's never going to be 2006 D-Wade again, but no reason think he can't still be very effective.
