I am getting caught up but let me think about this:
Kyrie
Ray Ray
Lebron
Thompson
Haywood
Zeller
Waiters
Wiggins
Jack
they can offer gibson and butler and MJD and 1st rd pick. minn gets 2 starters plus a good bench player plus a 1st rd pick. damn even throw in a young snell
So what I heard on melo, gasol ect. the Knicks have the Melo situation under control...also hints at Gasol joining the Knicks and the Knicks potentially having a trade lined up to dump Amare. Says the Knicks have big plans. Not sure if he's as well connected with the Knicks but thought I would pass it along.
my ultimate thought on carmelo decision is LA is the championship destination. Not this upcoming season unless something crazy like adding lebron happens too but within 2-3 years. He will retire ringless if he stays in new york.

I agree NY is about 10 years away from winning a championship.(ok not 10 but 5+)
He doesn't want to wait that long, and Kobe will be gone by then most likely.
The Lakers and Knicks are in similar situations. Both are more than 1 season away from being contenders. I think the Lakers are a little closer because of more roster flexibility, but it's only about 2 seasons closer.
'Melo is said to like the Lakers plans for the future, but he is also said to like some of the Knicks recent moves. I think it will depend on whose plan for the future 'Melo likes better.
The Lakers advantage is that Mitch Kupchak is a proven GM who has helped build/built championship rosters.
The Knicks advantage is Phil. While he has zero experience as a GM and in building championship teams from that role, he has a ton of respect around the league. The question is: We know that he can coach a championship team, but can he build one?
Neither will win with Melo. He doesn't fit in with Jackson's Offense, and I cant see Kobe and Melo playing together. Bad situation in both places. He really should go to the Bulls or Houston.
I don't know. The triangle might just be perfect for Melo. With his mid-range game, he could be deadly as the strong side elbow guy, or even the weak side option to catch in space off a reversal.
