I'm pretty sure the Heat have it on their site ready to put it up when Lebron leaves. Not to chastise him in the same way Gilbert did Lebron, but to point out that Lebron is better at forgiveness than basketball - which would say alot.

As a side note, I've always defined people by how they react to adverse situations; Based on Gilberts actions, I consider him the biggest douche bag in the world.

:agree:

Complete dickhead!

lol if carmelo is picking between lakers and Knicks he's not winning anything lol

I more believe the Stephen A report of him picking between NY or Miami if somehow Bosh leaves ( which he won't).

Anyway, playing fake Riley, why not tell Wade to play for a few million this year with a guarantee of around 3 yr/55M next year.
With Birds rights, couldn't they do that?

Get James, Bosh, Anthony to play for whatever the Heat can afford this year to stay just below luxury tax,
ending their repeater issue.
Give those 3 an opt out in 2 years when the new CBA comes around.
Then, starting next year, it's up to Arison to pay the luxury taxes that he said he would pay.

It should have A LOT to do with Gilbert. The dude is incompetent when it comes to running an NBA team.

Well right now he has made more moves than Riley, of course he is waiting. But if you at the roster and add Wade. Cleveland's team looks better.

You know he didn't even want to take Bennett last year, he wanted Oladipo. The main reason fell apart was Lebron left, now I will agree they didn't bire the best coaches, but what options do they really have. Nobody wants to go to Cleveland.

Wouldnt it be a complete shocker if Riley says he got Lebron to resign and brings in melo and tells Bosh to go elsewhere.

For sure. I just think it's Chicago or New York.

That seems to be the next direction the rumor mill is going in. I'll bite, if that happens, I would hope both Lebron and Melo take a discount and can get a skilled big man like Gasol on board. Bosh didn't realize his full potential in Miami, but he certainly was an integral part of the offense.

If LBJ picks Cleveland it will show that he is more mature and understands that he needs to go back home. Winning a Championship would help his legacy a lot. I would give him all the credit in the world if he goes back and wins one there. I do think he goes back to Miami.

I agree and still think he picks Miami. But if he signs at 2 year deal where he can leave in 1 year. Then the Cavs can try for KLove next year and Lebron could come then.

How does Lebron picking Cleveland shows he's more mature? There's other words that come to mind, mature not being one of them.

Dude it's a words. Lebron doesn't gove a shit about the owner. If he chooses Cleveland it's bc of the city, fans, and teammates. I guarantee Lebron doesn't care about that after winning two championships.

Keep believing that. James in no way needs Gilbert, the Cavs, or the fans who didn't understand FA and were burning his jersey.

I'll guarantee you that he can recite that letter, word for word.

Well of course your bias he left Cleveland to go to your team, but the way he left wasn't the best way. Btw right now the Cavs roster is better than the Heat, yah they are waiting but Miami is still the best place for him RIGHT NOW.

That doesn't mean he has a grudge against his hometown, he goes back all the time. Shit happens. Gilbert doesn't win championships, the team and coach does. And those are questions right now the roster, that's why he will most likely stay in Miami, not Gilbert.

Doesn't have anything to do with the way he left. It was the right business decision, but even I'll admit the Decision wasn't the greatest idea. Yeah, right now the Cavs roster is better than the Heat because the Heat have Cole and Napier as the only players on the roster. But the Heat have a history of not screwing up on a repeated basis and, as much as we criticize Spo; a coach who's actually won a title or two. And keep bringing up the roster too, because that roster you like to point out couldn't even make the playoffs in the East.

The "redemption "angle of the story far outweighs any leftover bad blood with Gilbert.

Lebron, for whatever reason, truly craves being a beloved "good guy" superstar.

The public backlash in 2011 really screwed with his head. He just could not deal with being the bad guy.

If going back to Cleveland will make him (at least in his mind) that beloved "good guy" again, he will do it.

That stuff seems surprisingly important to him.

LOL. He goes back to Akron where he's from, he doesn't go back to Cleveland. There is a difference. I think you under value the importance of an owner. Ask any Lakers fan if they wished Dr. Buss was still alive to run the team. I'm sure you'll get an astounding "yes". Yes, at the end of the day it's the coaches and players who win titles, not the owners. But, as you saw with the whole Sterling fiasco, a team's owner still plays a significant part.

THE DECISION did it, not leaving bc it was the right move. That is the only reason stupid ass Gilbert made that letter.

It isn't even the same roster.

I don't know why cavs fans who didn't make the playoffs think they have a better roster than the heat who made the finals last year?

I don't like Gilbert as much as anyone, but they aren't winning championships bc they can't get players and coaches. This is totally different than a LA owner who can grt whorver nad whatever he wants. So comparing them is pointless. That is why I imagine he was upset when Lebron left, bc without him there is less hope.

That is why if they get him back, in a way Lebron is the owner. He recruits players, he is basically the coach. Gilbert is criticized bc of the letter but what has he really fucked up on. Bad coaching hire when the team was not competitive anyway, who gives a shit.
