Thompson v. Haslem- massacre
Miller v. ? Cole?? - Massacre
Delledova v. Napier- ehhh... prob a wash

crap- i forgot mc roberts- heck instead of doing it by talent- lets just go positon

PG- Kyrie v. Chalmers- do i need to say anything?
SG- Wade v. Waiters- obviously Wade when he is healthy and plays
SF- LeBron v. Deng- i mean...yah...
PF- Love v. Bosh- Love does everything Bosh does but just better- especially rebounding and posting up
C- Varejao v. McRoberts- Varejao gets the edge- fairly close- but McRoberts has had exactly one season where he was not a average- to below average player and that was with Al Jefferson by him- but he wil lhave Bosh so lets say he keeps up waht he did

bench-
Thompson v. Anderson- Thompson has the edge- hes not 35 and can play more than 20 minutes a game- but Anderson for his 20 minutes is actually a decent player ill give him credit

yah- that means they gain absolutely no advantage from it since its split 30 equal ways- i thought his point was to give all these huge ways teh Lakers make money over the other teams- - when merchandise sales is absolutely positively not one of them when they are divided equally and obviously extremely diluted

:L No offense because I appreciated and passed on your advice last week, but what type of lawyer are you aspiring to be?

Hopefully it's something black and white with no grey area because you don't seem to catch on.

I'll try again.
If the Lakers generate, for discussion 100M annually from TV revenue, and the Cavs 30 million, then they both generate 10M from merchandise, the Lakers are still way ahead in as far as the owner being less reluctant to pay luxury tax.

Now, I know during the upcoming James years, Gilbert will pay, but we are talking normal circumstances.

Ask Ok City fans, they understand.

I told you a few days after Decision II that you would soon appreciate Heat fans.
Helen Keller could see this reaction from Cavs fans coming.

all i have said is i think the Cavs will reach the finals and win 61 games- compared to a lot of people out there in the national media that is EXTREMELY modest- and i have said how Dan Gilbert is EXTREMELY wealthy and has never shot down a move because of money concerns- while other owners have- and that guys like Gilbert, Allen, Arison, Cuban - were self made- instead of inheriting their teams from their brilliant fathers- and in the case of jimmy buss and dolan- fall FAR from the tree and have shown absolutely no aptitude what so ever in having their own successes

He only has to win 1:noidea:.

That's ridiculous, but it's become the mindset of Cleveland fans.

You know, the same ones that said if the Big 3 didn't win here every year then they were complete failures.

allright- as i said- obviously you did not read my prior posts

the main business of the Buss' is basketball- its how they have made their money- the Buss' do not have NEAR - not a FRACTION of the wealth a Gilbert, or Arison or Prokohrov, or Cuban or Allen have- they just dont

ANd that Tv contract- take 40 million RIGHT OFFF THE TOP each year for revenue sharing.

that TV contract is small potatos compared to carnival cruise lines, compared to quicken loans and a handful of casinos, compared to microsoft,

Dan Gilbert is a FREAKING BILLIONAIRE who could buy and sell the combined personal wealth of the Buss' many times over

these are facts- not made up stuff

Dan Gilbert and the rest of those owners mentioned have the means to go FAR deeper into the tax- ESPECIALLY with its new design than the Lakers do

that is a fact

Too funny.
If that was all you said, as you can see, it could have been accomplished in 6 lines.
You must have written 6000.

Then why were he and Cuban 2 of the biggest proponents for a hard, or close to hard salary cap?
Why not push to make it like MLB if you want to spend limitlessly?

What theses owners have vs what they want to spend are 2 different things.
They need a cap because they don't trust each other.
Limiting what one can spend, limits bidding wars.

i absolutely agree with all that you just said- Gilbert is willing to pay the penalty at this point to bring a championship to Cleveland.

He got so upset over the Paul to Lakers deal- if you read his letter to Stern- because the team that was getting by far the best player- was also saving the most money

If you are willing to pony up the cash in this new punitive system- go ahead and do it- because its going to cost you an arm and a leg-

however- the only way it WONT cost you an arm and a leg is if the cap and tax line keep rising- and that is the reason why LeBron is only signing these one year deals

a max deal is 30% of the cap

if the cap this year is 65- and 3 years from now its 90- which is not out of the realm of possibility- obviously that is a huge difference

Gilbert might have done a very smart thing locking in kyrie- and hopefully locking in Love long term next summer- before the cap jumps big time

if he can do that- and get those guys at Kyries 5/90 and Loves 5/120- and then the cap explodes- he gets a deal

he wont get that deal on LeBron though who will be going year to year and gettin the most he possibly can- but - when your LeBron you can do that sorta thing.

Gilbert for LeBron's 3 last years payed a ton extra salary- and over the last 4 years- for rebuilding purposes - has been below the cap to help faciltate deals for other teams and get draft picks and keep open flexibiltiy- he has saved a lot of money

that money is going to be plowed right back in these next few years

Possibly, but you're playing x box.
In real basketball, coaching and playoff experience matter.
Yes, I'd pick the Cavs to win the series, but MUCH bigger upsets have happened.

And as far as your Kyrie massacre, I disagree.
Both Chalmers and Cole can pester the hell out if him as they have in the past.

Remember the game, I think 2 years ago when Kyrie had the ball in his hands at the end of the game, going for the win?
Cole stole it from him to seal the win for the Heat.

Kyrie stormed off the court and sulked in the locker room vs coming out for some fan appreciation thing ( I think).

Also, Miller / Cole would never match up.

You think Thompson would massacre Haslem? That's silly. UD wouldn't let him do anything easily.

And, a healthy, determined Wade will lose to James, but he's not getting massacred.

The Heat would have nothing to lose.
James' nuts might shrivel like raisins if things weren't going his way.

The problem Gilbert will have in the next CBA is that he is only thinking these next few years which is his window, vs long term like most of the other owners will be.

Yes, James currently doubled the Cavs value, but unless he sells the team while James is there, it will eventually mean nothing because the day James leaves/ retires, the value will go back to what it was.

Birdman may be the better bench player than what the cavs have at all. Marion isn't on the team. Stop putting players on the list that haven't signed yet

You know, the same ones that said if the Big 3 didn't win here every year then they were complete failures.

Fair or not, Teams like the Cavs and Clippers are graded on the curve.

We have been so morbid, for so long, even one ship will make the best player on the Team a basketball Legend.

If CP3 wins a title with the Clips, his legacy is set because that's one more than anybody else:L.

People are ready to label Lebron the GOAT now and he's 2-5 in the Finals.

If he wins one in Ohio, they will want to put him on Mt. Rushmore with Russell, Jordan, Bird and Magic.

Fair or not.

Any poster who does a player by player comparison shows how shallow they are in their basketball knowledge. Miami would've won based on the same argument when doing a comparison against the Spurs. It's all about offensive and defensive systems that are set in place. Once again, Russ is going to be Russ.

i never said Allen because i dont think he is coming

but when Tom Withers of the AP of Cleveland reports something and Adrian Woj reports the same thing concerning Love- i trust it above all other reporters since they do not go with something- especially the Cleveland AP guy- until it is confirmed multiple times by multiple reliable sources

and the Pacers have given up on signing Marion because they believe it is a fait accompli he signs with the Cavs- when other teams start doing that i feel very confident he will be here-

if it was not a 95% level of assuredness on MArion i would not go with it---- and as for the Love thing- ill proverbially live and die with what Tom withers of the AP reports on a Cleveland sports basis

 I almost forgot about that game. Here's the youtube link and it puts a rather large hole in Kyrie being such a clutch player.

break down the spurs for me against the Heat because i simply dont agree- especially considering the dwade that showed up

the only clear advantage the heat had at a position was lebron v. leonard and leonard was no slouch

Talent-by-talent comparisons, similar to what you just pulled say the Heat were the more talented team. I'm not going to go to such great lengths to appease you. Figure that shit out for yourself.
