As a Heat fan, I embrace whatever roster we have.

Our current one has been in the Finals 4 straight years,
so not quite sure what your definition of mediocrity is.

I think Gasol has just as much to offer than Bosh, throw in Deng and that roster looks much better.

If James left, the Clippers would be better and then I would be embracing mediocracy.
Right now I'm embracing a historical Finals run.

Fun Fact though, if the Clippers can't even make a conference Finals,
then they are also mediocre.

So Bosh wants $16. You don't sign him and drop some cap about $2-3 mil and all of sudden you have $24 mil in cap.

Deng wants $10-12 and Gasol the same. And you could also probably sign a veteran or a player like Vince Carter. But if you sign Bosh, you could only get Carter and another average player, but no Gasol or Deng most likely.

True, it has been better but he is still only 33. I think it would be worth the risk.

It's the only real choice. Wade is the face of the Heat and would be bad for public relations to trade him. Fans will get over Bosh being traded.
