No. They're not going to try and re-create Showtime. He wants them to be defense first. I like this approach.

He's running a variation of the Princeton.

I think Boozer and Lin will do well in that system.

Brown got fired for 2 main reasons. He was supposed to be a defensive coach and the defense wasn't very good. Also, he switched to the actual Princeton offense. At the time when he had the idea, it was the right move. However, when the Lakers got Nash and Dwight, he should have scrapped it, but he didn't.

It sounds like Byron is going with more of a hybrid of the 2 different offenses. With a defense first approach, it should be a pretty good offense for this team.
