The WIZARDS hired KEvin Durant's highschool coach and close family confidant as an assistant coach.

I though KD was about 50% likely to bolt to DC in less than 2 years.

I think its probably more like 100%.

Wall, Beal, Durant, Gortat, Nene is a scary team.

This is really on Presti. He refuses to improve that team because he doesn't want to pay luxury tax. Up until this year that team has largely remained unchanged in 3 years. They aren't winning anything with the roster they currently have.

Durant sees that his small market team isn't going to spend the money necessary to win. The question is whether he actually has it in him to leave. He's a REAL loyal cat. He stuck with UT over UNC/Duke, Maryland simply because Texas recruited him FIRST.

Nene will be a free agent & on the downside by then.

It isn't all on Presti. The owner is probably in his ear about that.

Which is dumb because they are one of the most profitable teams in the league.

Kevin Durant has been in the league for 7 years now. This is put up or shut up for Brown this year but I don't think they should blow anything up. They've been the 2nd best team in the league for 2 of those years and had 1 year without Westbrook.

It just seems rather suspect that a close family friend, mentor, father figure, and high school coach of Durant's was hired by the Wizards.

They have made no secret that he is their top target.

But, they need to be careful about "almost tampering" without technically "tampering".

KD isn't going anywhere. KD can't beat LBJ in the Finals why would he want to face LBJ in the playoffs every year. He stays in OKC.

For YEARS the Clippers were profitable too......but they weren't winning anything.

OKC won't win a title with this current roster. They will either HAVE to blow it up, or HAVE to spend more money. We'll see which they choose.

Going to be great this time next year when people are shown what it is like to win a title by truly building a team.

Been there, done that for 16 playoff appearances, 14 division titles, 5 titles, 6 finals appearances, 10 conference finals, 1 measley lottery pick, and zero big name free agents.

I think the people have been shown already.

EVERY decent player thinks they're a max player......and generally some GM is dumb enough to give it to them.
