You can root for anyone you want.

When my Team gets bounced, best believe I root for the Warriors :yahoo:.

Clippers are La Primera.

But, I like the Knicks, Warriors and Suns too.

All I wanna do is part of ClippersNation now!

If it wasn't fair, why did Nowitzke accept that and sign it? It is not like the ACA. I am quite sure Dirk knew what was in the contract.

He accepted it because it was more important, to him, that the team got better.

He has made a ton of money in his career.

He's still their best player. But, the gap is closing.

Duncan is the greatest PF......EVER.

If he can take a paycut for the betterment of the Team, everyone else can too.

But, that's a personal choice :noidea:.

Honestly, there's no way Minny is gonna get equal value 4 love in return...no team ever does when in this situation. And the longer they wait, the more teams will know they're desperate & low ball them.

Exactly. And that's why the Twolves should take Waiters, Thompson & Bennett for KL. And to sweeten the deal the Cavs should thow in free lifetime passes to the RnR HOF for the Twolves owner!

wow...I don't think Dirk's deal was fair. The problem i have is that he's carried that team, yet there are less impactful players making more. That is too lopsided and falls on the owner imo 2 make sure those other players aren't over paid.

Fair?

It's fair if he agrees to it, and he did so willingly.

Duncan and Lebron's deals were not Fair Market value either.

But, winning was clearly more important.

 jus cuz he signed doesn't mean it was fair...especially when you compare it 2 what other franchise players are making. i would guess he's jus very comfortable playing in Dallas, has some loyalty 2 Cuban and didn't want 2 go through the F/A frenzy. I mean if Wade can still get $15 mil a season Dirk can certainly get at least $10 mil. :L

I agree...but goodness he isn't even making $10 mil a season with that deal.

I disagree...if he agrees then he agrees...but that doesn't make it fair. It jus means he values other things. Each player is different.

He was offered the Max by the Lakers and turned it down.

Dallas hasn't improved enough to get passed the 2nd round.

But, A future HoFer doesn't want to waste his last good years praying for ping-pong balls.

Well I'm pretty sure Dirk isn't gonna retire with more than 1 ring. At least Kobe has 5.

You think Kobe wants to play with these castoffs?

Come on, I hate that guy.

But, you can never accuse him of NOT wanting to win.

He is delusional to think they can do that with him eating up 30% of the cap.

But, I don't think he's sitting at home saying " I got mine, who cares if we suck " :laugh3:.

Yes, he values trying to win over money.
Now if only Cuban could follow his lead...he might be in a position 2 actually win again. :L

I'm sure he isn't as well.

How many seasons now has Dirk taken a paycut 2 only be undermined by Cuban and not get the guys that could help Dirk win? After breaking up that championship team now he wants 2 bring Chandler back??
