I firmly believe that Houston will be Howard's last stop. Everyone now knows what Orlando and LA discovered about this guy and I suspect he will never see a chamiopnship series in his career for reasons already elucidated by other posters most recently by TJF12.
He is obviously not the best character guy but he was far and away the best player on the floor in the playoffs this year for Houston.

I give his window like 3 years tops, though. When his athleticism goes, he'll be just another starter

But, the thing is that DWIGHT turns 29 this year. He is not 22 or 23 anymore.

He acts like a teenager and somehow fools GM's into believing he has decades of improvement left.

I am not sure he will ever get any better....and more likely gets worse as his athleticism fades.

True.

Speaking of windows, we might be seeing the last good year of D Wade, Tim Duncan, Dirk and Kobe Bryant next year. The league is 1-2 years away from changing a lot.

I been saying Howard and Harden were going to suck as a duo since before they even took the court.

Gonna be weird when those guys are gone. They might also end up being the last of the guys who play for the same team for their entire career.

It will be the era where the CAVS break the curse...

2 Boot if the BLAZERS can keep it together and add nice additions to their ROSTER...

CAVS>BLAZERS....In 5

I been saying Howard and Harden were going to suck as a duo since before they even took the court.

He traded the frying pan for the fire.

If he wasn't happy shagging boards for Kobe, what makes people think he'd be happy shagging them for Harden?:noidea:

Howard's offense is rudimentary, at best.

He is still a force on defense.

But, his crying about getting the ball is very off-putting.

Having said all that, I really think Harden is the bigger issue.

He has zero interest in anything other than shooting and will force a bad shot, rather than pass, 7 out of 10 times.

Getting Rondo won't help either.

Harden needs the ball to be effective and he'd probably balk at having the ball taken away.

They will finish top 6 or 7 in the West.

But, they took a big step back imo...

Morning! All of us that actually watch games saw that there wasn't much difference in Houston's offense than the Lakers. But, Howard isn't the brightest bulb so...:L

Howdy, Allday and Kobina Smushelle!

I have always been indifferent towards Howard.

But, it's time for him, CP3, Melo to put up or shutup.

I think he gets way more flack than the other two because he likes to soil himself in the press everytime something doesn't go according to plan.

NBA Glen Taylor wants to keep Kevin Love - ESPN

Good luck trying to trade him at the last second.

I've been saying this since this started - he and Flip are somehow, incomprehensibly CONVINCED they can get him to stay longterm.

I don't know if it's ego, I don't know if it's hubris, or if Love has somehow given them the impression he'd stay if they win.

All they're guaranteeing is that they'll get pennies on the dollar if they move him late. Right now, if you want him, it HAS to be a lopsided deal in their favor, something that blows their socks off.......and I don't see anyone ponying up that.

Yea i agree...hey what do you think about Melo signing in NY but not getting the max deal that's been reported he would get?

He only took like 6 mil less.

But, it will be enough to allow them to sign 2 max players next Summer.

So, that's a win.

Phil earned the benefit of the doubt, from me, by getting Melo to stay.

Most of it was Melo's greed.

But, Phil clearly has a plan and I hope he is successful.

The Deal that I think is terrific is Dirk's.

Had Kobe taken that type of deal, the Lakers wouldn't be in the spot they are in today.

Dwain Price: Breakdown of Dirk's 3-yr, $25 million contract: $7,974,482 next yr, $8,333,334 in 2015-'16, and a player option in 2016-'17 for $8,692,184.

I wouldn't trade him for the garbage offers they are getting either.

Barnes and Lee or Waiters, Bennett and Tristan Thompson?

Hell no :omg:.

Some contender will panic and offer more at the deadline or they can simply do a sign and trade in the Summer.

My biggest issue with him is that he hasn't gotten better

I mean, he pretty much hit his ceiling in 2007.

I think he had a 1 better scoring Season since then.

But, he's pretty much regressed in every other category.

I think the Twolves should take Waiters, Bennett & Thompson for KL. It's a helluva trade...for the Cavs!

I'm sure you do:lol:.

Hi, Wamu!

Glad to see you here.

You ready to come out of the closet as a Cavs fan or are you sticking with the Celtics?

Wonder when the Celtics will trade Rondo?

Things are looking bad for Bledsoe in Phoenix too.:bawling:

I love that Kid and hope he gets his deal and stays in the Valley of the Sun.

But, with dragic, I. Thomas and now Ennis, he might be expendable if he keeps insisting on a near max deal.

That's why in my opinion...

If he would have stayed the so called idea of building around a player would have happened...

Even though it would have been kept a secret, it would have been around NELSON....During that time every one was looking for a PG....NELSON led MAGIC played pretty well after HOWARD departed..
