Have to disagree on a better shot at a title, in spite of what happened down the stretch in the playoffs the core of the OKC team is still on a HUGE curve upward.

You disagree because you're a blind fan. It's a better shot in Miami simply because they don't have to go against SA, Hou, LAC, GS just to get to the Finals.

It is becoming increasingly clear that unless Anthony signs with the Lakers, Gasol is going elsewhere than LA. We should know more by Monday of next week.

That and the OKC core is not as great as he seems to believe. It's Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka......that would be a formidable trio IF they had a coach worth anything at all, and if Durant had a killer instinct similar to Westbrooks

I think Lebron is going to backstab the Heat. He's waiting for Melo to sign somewhere and if it is Houston, he will sign there also. If it's anywhere else he probably re-sign with Miami

I'm starting to get that feeling as well. Thing is, he can't sign in Houston as well. The Heat have been relatively quiet on the free agent front.

Everyone been quiet except for minor signings such as Meeks, Mills, and a few guys re-signing with their teams

Guys are waiting for Lebron/Melo to make their board as they don't want to get trapped in a bad situation assuming that Melo/Lebron will be on that team.

When those 2 make their decision is when the other free agents will be signed. These 2 are holding up everything

Marc J. Spears: Thunder view run at Lakers FA Pau Gasol a "long shot" with only mid-level to offer, but they also believe "its worth a try," a source says. Twitter @SpearsNBAYahoo

If Gasol comes to the Heat, Lebron will come back. If not, I don't see anyone else enticing enough - thus causing Lebron to title chase to his next team.

How can that even happen? They can barely afford Melo and that is dropping Lin and a couple scrubs.

If Melo goes to Houston or Dallas they couldn't sign both players.

They should get Gasol, they need a big man. They can always get some cheap shooters to come off the bench. But they have never had a big man like Gasol.

So no offer sheet for Hayward because they think Utah will match it. Smart move

Two issues. The first you mentioned. The second reason is that they are still holding a small belief that Lebron might choose to return to Cleveland. So they don't want to tie up there cap with a hold on Hayward with the likely outcome being that Utah will match it. Once Lebron has resigned in Miami, I think you will then see Cleveland offer a contract.
