If Lebron leaves another team, he will never be considered one of the greatest in my eyes. Its one thing to leave a team once, but to do it again just to chase more rings, then forget it.
I agree. gordontrue is correct re: the amount of power Love has re: where he is traded. However, Minny can decide what they will accept. It means risking him walking after next season and them getting nothing or possibly getting even less back in trade, but so far, Flip seems willing to risk that.
Flip is said to be hellbent on getting them to the playoffs next year and hoping that entices Love to stay. If they are out of it at the trade deadline they can always trade him then.
love isnt going to cleveland. they dont have the parts to trade for him. minn would want irving and wiggins. wiggins by himself wont get it done
Was gonna head to Vegas and see if I could crash the meeting and help out the Heat fans on here. But unfortunately, the meeting is in less than 3 hours and it's at least a 4 hour drive (4 1/2 with the mandatory stop at Alien Beef Jerky in Baker, Ca.).
Sorry Heat fans!!
Damn LeBron leaving Miami! Don't he know that this will completely kill the Heat Haters Club thread?
Exactly. Until I have any reason to believe otherwise... I have to believe that the most powerful free agent in the NBA is in complete control of what his agent is doing. If Rich Paul is doing something in regards to LeBron's free agency... its because LeBron instructed him to do so.
Woj reporting the meeting will include the Heat's capologist as well as Riley.
This is not good news for Cleveland.

Whys that? lol
It's obvious that the cap space was cleared for the purpose of signing Lebron. Doesn't matter how the front office is trying to spin it. They gave up first round picks (players and future picks) to clear that space. If they don't get Lebron, yes they still have the cap space which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But they did it for Lebron, not for some flexibility down the road.
If they are fearful he's leaving the capologist would not be in the room for certain. He's there to simply break down the numbers for Lebron so he understands what they're doing with the team.
That suggests this is a much more casual meeting than the expected ARMAGEDDON!!!! HES LEAVING!!!!!! urgency you would expect.
Exactly.
These guys would lick his boots if he told them to.
Anyway, at this point, does anyone think that anyone is changing their minds in this meeting.
James knows what he's doing, and probably never didn't.
If Riley knew he was leaving, would he even give him the satisfaction of showing up?
I still can't get past the supposed fact that James would leave without a face to face with new team first.
ESPECIALLY Gilbert, the man whose had a hate letter up about him for 4 years.
This just in: If James leaves.....Spoles quits.
There's a US Airways flight leaving LAX in 50 minutes that'll get you there by 2
